إِصْلَاح
Islah
صَلَاح
Salah
Etymology Callout · ص-ل-ح
Islah (reform, setting right) and Salah (righteousness, goodness) share the same root: ص-ل-ح (ṣ-l-ḥ). The root means "to be good, to be right, to be fit."
Every act of Islah in the community — fixing what is broken, restoring what is imbalanced — is an act of Salah. The Muslim Resource Guide is not a social service directory. It is a map of Islah — the work of setting creation right, which is itself an act of worship.
RIGHTS OF CREATION · حقوق الخلق
The Ethical Foundation
Every resource in this guide exists because creation has rights. The caretaker's obligation is not charity — it is fulfillment of what was always owed.
حق الله
Haqq Allah — The Right of Allah
Recognition. Every act of caretaking begins with acknowledging that all provision, all capacity, all design belongs to Allah. The resource guide is an act of recognition before it is an act of service.
حق الخلق
Haqq Al-Khalq — The Right of Creation
Every created thing — human, ecosystem, community — carries rights by virtue of being created. The IRL Lens makes these rights visible. The resource guide makes them actionable.
حق الأمانة
Haqq Al-Amanah — The Right of Trust
The caretaker holds creation in trust. Resources are not owned — they are administered. Every link in this guide is a bridge from recognition to the fulfillment of Amanah.
وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ
"And We have certainly honored the children of Adam" — Quran 17:70
Honor is not earned — it is given. The resource guide honors what was already honored.
Caretaking Domains
Each domain is framed by a Name of Allah — not as metaphor but as recognition of the divine attribute being expressed through human service.
HOUSING & SHELTER
AL-HAFIZ — The Preserver
Each housing resource is a channel through which Al-Hafiz (The Preserver) operates in this ward.
Housing is not just shelter — it is the preservation of dignity, family, and the conditions for worship. Every roof is a sign of Al-Hafiz.

OPENING PREMISE — CITY RESOURCE SECTION
“The Whole Earth is a Masjid”
جُعِلَتْ لِيَ الْأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا — Every ward, every city, every locality is a place of prostration. The caretaker's work is not separate from worship — it is worship. The city is not outside the Masjid — the city is the Masjid.
This resource guide is built on that premise. Every disparity mapped here is a call to Islah. Every resource listed is a form of Amanah. Every caretaker using this tool is fulfilling a sacred trust — fisabilillah.
ETYMOLOGY CALLOUT — HERO
Islah = Salah
إِصْلَاح = صَلَاة
The root of prayer is reform, restoration, and reconciliation. ص-ل-ح (Ṣ-L-Ḥ) — the same root that gives us Salah (prayer) gives us Islah (reform). To pray is to reform. To reform is to pray.
Root: ص-ل-ح · Righteousness · Repair · Peace

RECOGNITION ARC · قوس المعرفة
The Methodology of the Lens
Every encounter with creation follows this arc — from first contact to crossing over.
هَلْ هُوَ؟
Is it?
Confirm the presence of the thing. Does it exist? Is it real? This is the first act of observation — acknowledging what is before you.
مَا هُوَ؟
What is it?
Identify the nature of the thing. What Names compose it? What processes does it embody? This is the act of recognition.
مَتَى هُوَ؟
When is it?
Locate it in time and sequence. What stage of the Sunnat Allah is this? What came before? What comes after? This is the act of situating.
LEAF SEQUENCE · تسلسل الورقة
Sunnat Tutorial Walkthrough
The Leaf Sequence is the primary tutorial for the IRL Lens — six Names of Allah visible in a single leaf, from divine power to provision. This is how the Lens is used in community caretaking.
Recognition begins with acknowledging divine capacity — the power behind every observable process. Before the leaf, there is Al-Qadir.
From power comes creation — the origination of form from nothing. The leaf did not design itself. Al-Khaliq originates.
The fashioning of distinct form — each leaf shaped precisely, no two identical. Al-Bari separates and distinguishes form from formlessness.
The imaging — the visible form given to the created thing. The color, the veins, the texture. Zahir made manifest through Al-Musawwir.
The leaf is a provision engine — photosynthesis as Ar-Razzaq's mechanism. Rizq flows through the chlorophyll. The leaf feeds the world.
The sequence closes with light — the leaf receives An-Nur, converting divine light into sustenance. The arc completes.
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّه
Alhamdulillah · The Closing State of Every Recognition Arc
UBOOR · عُبُور · CROSSING OVER
The Closing Meditation
Uboor is the crossing — from recognition to action, from seeing to doing, from the Names to the Amanah. Every recognition arc ends here. The lens has done its work. Now the caretaker acts.
✦ BREATHE
Before crossing, pause. Breathe. The recognition you have just completed is a gift. The Names you have seen are real. The Amanah you are about to accept is weighty. Breathe first.
UNIVERSAL SUBMISSION
Every particle submits. The leaf submits to Al-Qadir. The river submits to Ar-Razzaq. The ecosystem submits to Al-Mizan. The IRL Lens reveals this submission — it is already happening, everywhere, in everything. You are invited to join what creation has never stopped doing.
