Taqwah
تَقْوَىDefinition
God-consciousness — the quality of awareness that guards the self through recognition of Allah. Not fear alone, but a heightened state of perception that sees the divine in every encounter.
Etymology & Root Analysis
From the root و-ق-ي (w-q-y), meaning to protect or shield. Taqwah is the shield of consciousness — the quality that protects the caretaker from heedlessness (Ghaflah). The garment metaphor (Reshat Al-Taqwah) in Quran 7:26 frames it as clothing — something worn, not merely felt.

Usage Examples
The caretaker with Taqwah sees the vacant lot not as blight but as an Ayah — a sign of Al-Muhyi waiting to be recognized.
Taqwah is the quality that makes the IRL Lens work — without it, the lens has no operator.
